Cracking does not always affect structural performance, but it can adversely affect the durability of structures. Common causes of concrete cracking are post-cure and drying shrinkage, thermal stress, freezing and thaw cycles due to water expansion, corrosion of steel rebar, settlement, load stresses, and construction shortcomings such as design or construction errors.

Epoxy injection, performed by pressure injection of epoxy resin into cracks, is an economical and proven method to repair structural cracks in concrete structures including walls, columns and slabs. Epoxy resin can restore cracked concrete to its original strength. Structural epoxy injection is recommended in areas of none to minor movement.
