We’ve Used Swing Stages, And Evolved To Rope Access
There are times where swing stages are the right choice, but those situations are becoming less and less.
Rope access has many advantages such as:
Speed
If we have good access to water, the roof and anchors, we can often start cleaning windows within 1 hour of arrival.
Wind
The wind in Calgary can get fierce. And leaving a swing stage out overnight is a news-making incident waiting to happen.
With XtremeAxis Inspections & Restorations, there are no steel cables whipping the glass on a windy day above technicians and sidewalks. We use nylon rope.
With XtremeAxis, there is not a stage that weighs as much as a car slamming against the building in a wind gust.
Training and Equipment
Even in Calgary, there are news articles of swing stages stuck on the side of buildings.
Sometimes the technicians are fine and, the rescue is simply due to the technicians not having the training and equipment they needed.
